I was called to Bethany in August of 2012 after receiving my Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary with an emphasis on Youth and Family Ministry. I love working with our congregation's youth through Confirmation, middle school and high school youth group, mission trips and so much more! Pr. Cathy and I also split preaching, weddings, baptisms, funerals and other pastoral care duties of the church.
I was baptized as a baby right here at Bethany, along with my twin brother and two sisters before we moved away at a young age. After moving to Ohio and then Utah, I ended up going to college/seminary in Minnesota. After Seminary, I found myself being open to wherever God wanted to take me. It turned out, that Holy Spirit took me back here!
I've been married my wife Kirstin since 2010, and we have three kids - Isaac, Elin, and Anders. In my free time, I love cheering for the Bengals, playing fantasy baseball, running, reading science fiction and fantasy books, and watching reruns of some of my favorite shows: Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Scrubs (among others).
