Education for the youngest members of our church family
At Bethany Lutheran Church we believe quality Christian Education requires shared responsibility. Our goal is to partner with children and families, fostering a relationship with God by learning and living God’s word.
We help achieve our Baptismal promises and implement core beliefs of the Lutheran religion through Bible stories, fellowship, and fun.
Sunday School is a time for children to explore Bible stories and enjoy fun activities with their friends. Students begin each Sunday gathered together worshiping through music and to get a brief introduction to the daily lesson. On certain “high holiday” Sundays, students remain in the service for the full hour.
This year, Sunday School will also include a music component, giving children the opportunity to sing together and prepare songs for worship throughout the year. In addition, students are invited to join the cast of our Christmas Program, a musical extension of our curriculum that helps them learn lessons through drama and song.
While children of all ages are welcome to receive communion at our church without taking a class, we do offer a class for families to learn about communion. This class is for children who have received communion and for those who have not. Both ways are acceptable. We support whatever your family decides for your children. We would like a parent to join in with their son or daughter during the class time.
Bethany Kids is our K -5th grade youth group. Students meet weekly to make friends, learn about God, and connect with their faith through interactive games and projects.
Vacation Bible School is a fun opportunity for kids to make new friends, play creative games, and have surprising adventures safely. Stay tuned for 2025 VBS info!
