The AAUW (American Association of University Women) Crystal Lake Area Branch invites you to join a morning of community service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church. This year marks the 31st anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. Day being recognized as a “day of service.”
Participants will engage in six different service projects aimed at supporting various groups in need, including homebound individuals, people experiencing homelessness, rescue animals, and more. Projects include assembling hygiene kits for girls in Africa, tying quilts for Lutheran World Relief, and other meaningful activities.
No specific skills are required to participate, and all are welcome. If you would like to help or donate supplies, please contact Carol Heisler at carolheisler@gmail.com. For groups larger than four, kindly notify Carol in advance to ensure sufficient supplies are available.
