We need your help! On Saturday, April 26, Neighbors McHenry County is hosting a silent auction to raise funds to benefit our mission of supporting families legally seeking asylum. The auction will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave, in Crystal Lake. It promises to be a fun and enjoyable evening for all who attend. As planning gets underway, we're asking everyone to think about what they can contribute. Whether you offer your own talents or ask a favorite business or service provider for a contribution, we need your help to make the auction a rousing success.
Some ideas to help with inspiration:
· Services: babysitting, dog sitting, etc.
· Spring or fall yard cleanup
· Landscape or interior design
· Tickets to music, sports, or theater events
· Use of a vacation home
· Lessons in voice, cooking, dance, yoga
· Artwork: paintings, sculpture
· Photo sessions
· Catered parties (brunch, ethnic dinner or just your specialty meal. You set the number of guests)
· Themed gift baskets (picnic, baby, pet, wine: lots of possibilities!)
· Restaurant gift cards
· Museum memberships
· Nice furniture or antiques
So many possibilities! Use your imagination and have fun: what would you like to bid on? Auction forms will be available at each church (look for the poster in the parish hall) and online: Trinity website link
Please submit your forms by Sunday, April 13, so we have time to organize.
