Dear Bethany Family,

A month has passed, and I’m still overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible send-off you gave me. From the beautiful service (One Voice—what a perfect reflection of ministry!) to the deeply moving song Wildflowers, which now carries even more meaning as I step into my Sacred Pause, every moment was a gift.

Your love, care, and creativity were on full display. Only at Bethany would a farewell include a softball team and Wisconsinites handing out beer with advice for my husband, Tom, and a packed sanctuary in the middle of winter! The way you went above and beyond to honor him too meant so much to both of us. I was surprised, honored, and deeply touched by how many of you came to say goodbye, share stories, and send me off with such kindness. The touching words, thoughtful presents, generous gifts, beautiful flowers, and so much more, each a reminder of the incredible community we built together.

Bethany sure knows how to throw a party, and more importantly, Bethany knows how to love. I hold you in my heart as I step into new places, and I carry our shared stories forward to care for others, just as you have cared for me.

Thank you for everything. I loved being your pastor.

With deep gratitude and love,
Pastor Cathy
