Care Kit Collection Is Going Strong!

Thank you so much for your generous donations and for helping us fill these care kits with practical items that will make a difference. Below are the running shopping totals, great job getting all those pencils donated! Take a look at the list to see what items are still in the greatest demand.

The collection deadline is Wednesday, September 9, the Wednesday before God’s Work. Our Hands. Items can be dropped off in Luther Hall in the designated baskets. Thank you for helping make this collection such a success!

• 271 - 70-sheet notebooks of wide- or college-ruled paper, approximately 8” x 10 ½”; no loose leaf paper
• 92   - 30-centimeter rulers, or a rulers with centimeters on one side and inches on the other
• 89   - pencil sharpeners
• 93   - pair of blunt scissors (safety scissors with embedded steel blades work well)
• 86   - Children’s Books (Suggestions: Ollies & Dollar Tree)
• 114 - Gender-neutral coloring books
• 111 - Store bought wrapped rice crispy treats
• 188 - black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel ink)
• 159 - boxes of 16 or 24 crayons
• 76   - 2 ½” erasers
• 0     - unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers - Collected
