We are once again grateful to share several inspiring updates from the Endowment Board of Trustees. This season, the Board has approved multiple applications that reflect a deep commitment to caring for others.

BLC Applications

John Cunningham and Thoughts, Prayers, and Actions Committee – The Endowment Fund supported their program to resettle a family legally seeking asylum by providing two months’ rent for the family. This support helps offer safety, stability, and a hopeful beginning as they build their new life.

Seminarian Support

Pastor Katie Mueller – The Endowment Fund supported Pastor Katie by helping to relieve her seminary debt. We are proud to invest in future church leadership and walk alongside those called to serve.

Applications from 501(c)(3) Organizations

Kids in Need (KIN) – An organization that identifies and provides children in need with essential resources for a happy and healthy childhood. The Endowment Fund supported KIN’s diaper program, which has both a positive health and social impact for the children, while also helping their parents access childcare—allowing them to work and strengthen their family’s economic stability.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of McHenry County – An organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The Endowment Fund supported two NAMI safe spaces—one where individuals can connect with peers for rehabilitation, and another for those in crisis situations who need immediate care and connection.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County – An organization that protects children who have been abused or neglected by providing them with a trained adult to advocate for their best interests. The Endowment Fund supported a new Transportation Program within CASA to provide additional training for adult CASAs to safely transport children in foster care to medical appointments, school functions, counseling sessions, and more. It also includes funding to reimburse approved travel expenses for volunteers participating in the program.

We invite you to keep these ministries and programs in your prayers, and to reflect on the meaningful ways our church community is making a difference. May these efforts inspire all of us to live out our faith with compassion, hope, and purpose. Together, we are building a more loving and connected world.
