Our God’s Work, Our Hands event was a wonderful success! From start to finish, it was a day filled with energy, joy, and service, thanks to everyone who came and took part.
One of the biggest highlights was hearing from Taylor Rosted with Rise Against Hunger, who helped us launch an exciting journey of fundraising toward hosting a meal-packing event right here at Bethany for God’s Work, Our Hands 2026. Our youth also stepped up in a big way with a bake sale that raised over $300, the very first gift toward our year of fundraising for the meal-packing event. What a fantastic kickoff!
And of course, no celebration would be complete without food! The Fajita-Palooza (yes, yes…we know, Taco-Palooza) was a hit. The food was delicious, the fellowship was full of laughter, and the fun carried through the whole afternoon. Thank you to everyone who joined us for lunch!
Most of all, this day showed what can happen when volunteers come together with open hearts. From setting up tables, cooking and serving, welcoming guests, and pitching in wherever needed, our volunteers made every detail possible. Their dedication and commitment turned this event from an idea into a joyful day of service.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave their time; contributed to the kits and the luncheon; filled kits and tied knots; and shared their spirit. Truly, God’s Work, Our Hands came to life because of you!
