As Director of Worship and Music, I curate Bethany’s worship experiences, conduct its musical ensembles (The Bethany Choir and Bell Canto Ringers), coordinate youth and adult volunteer musicians, and play the church’s Clarence Agnes Carlson Memorial pipe organ. I have a background in organ performance, music education, sacred music, and choral conducting with degrees from Luther College (Decorah, IA), Boston University, and the University of Cincinnati – College-Conservatory of Music.
My goal as Bethany’s music director is to create meaningful worship experiences intentionally enhanced through music. I want as many people as possible to participate in the musical life of the church, and I welcome and encourage the entire congregation to participate in Bethany’s musical offerings.
Outside of music, I enjoy running, waterskiing, and spending time with my two (2) dogs–Katy and Teche.
