I retired from full-time pastoral ministry a couple years ago to have more flexibility to travel,
especially to visit family. My wife, Ruth, and I have two grown sons. Brent and his wife Katie
live in New Paltz, New York with two children. Juniper is 5 years old and James is 1. Brian and
his wife Betsy live in Watertown, Wisconsin with three children. Anna is 9, Will is 5, and Wesley
is 2. It’s a wonderful crew! Prior to retirement, I served congregations in Kansas, Missouri, and
most recently Naperville. Ruth and I enjoy music and lots of outdoor activities—
hiking, biking, golf, and tennis. Core to my faith is the belief that “nothing in all creation can
separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (from Romans 8).”
