Happy Epiphany Day! This week, the Call Committee will be hosting three opportunities for you to give us some feedback for our deliberations.

Wednesday, January 7 at 10am in Bible Study Room Lower-Level
Wednesday, January 7 at 7pm in Luther Hall
Sunday, January 11 after the 9am worship in Luther Hall

Each session will be 1 hour in length.

Your Call Committee has been doing a lot of “thinking outside the box” in our meetings. We have been focusing on what gifts and skills we are looking for in a staff person rather than just looking for another pastor, and you have given us great feedback from the surveys that have been distributed!

Now, we ask you to carefully consider these three questions for our community meetings: Question 1 – “Why did you first come to Bethany?” Responses will be kept to 1 minute.

Question 2 – “Why have you stayed at Bethany?” Again, responses will be kept to 1 minute.

Question 3 – “What do you think are the needs of the congregation and community moving forward?” Responses will be kept to 3 minutes. The response times are intentionally brief to make certain everyone can speak, and that respondents focus on the question rather than personal stories.

Each small group will have a Timekeeper and a Note Taker. At the end of the allotted time for conversation, each Note Taker will give a brief report to all who are gathered.

We are looking forward to seeing you and hearing from you this week!

Shalom,

Pastor Paul
