This June, Bethany Lutheran Church is excited to be a part of two local Pride celebrations, and we’d love for all members of the Bethany community to participate. These events are great opportunities to build relationships with our neighbors throughout Crystal Lake and Woodstock.

Service opportunities include volunteering at Bethany's booth, walking in Woodstock's parade, or simply stopping by and enjoying the festivities. Every person who joins contributes towards creating a warm, authentic, and visible presence from our church community. Over the years, these events have become an important way not only to show members of the LGBTQ+ community that they are welcomed and valued, but also to help others in the wider community see Bethany as a welcoming and inclusive church home. And each Bethany LC representative brings their own stories and perspectives to share, which is why it's so important for all to be involved.

Crystal Lake Pride

Sunday, June 7
11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Brink Street Market Lot

This year’s Crystal Lake Pride celebration will feature expanded live music, including a Blondie tribute band, along with new additions like a beer tent and other community festivities. Bethany will host a booth throughout the day, and we’re looking for volunteers to help staff it and connect with attendees.

Whether you can stay for an hour or several, your presence matters. We also encourage everyone to stop by, spend time together, and enjoy the celebration as a community.

Volunteer opportunities include:
• Helping staff the booth
• Greeting and connecting with attendees
• Spending time representing Bethany throughout the day

For questions or more information, please reach out to Cheryl Reimer, Peggy Lemond, or Liz Quinn.

Woodstock PrideFest is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration centered on inclusivity, community, and connection. Bethany will participate in both the Pride Parade and the Festival, and everyone is invited to join in whatever way feels meaningful.

You can walk alongside us in the parade, help at our festival booth, or simply come out to support and enjoy the day together.

Ways to participate:
• Walk with Bethany in the parade
• Help staff the festival booth
• Stop by to connect and show support

We’d love to have a strong group representing our church throughout the day, and there’s space for all levels of involvement.
