On Sunday, May 24 at 10:00 AM, members of the congregation are invited to gather in Luther Hall for a public reading of Bethany’s Ministry Site Profile.
A Ministry Site Profile is an important document created during the pastoral call process. It serves as an introduction to the congregation for potential pastoral candidates, offering a picture of who we are as a church community, what we value, and where we believe God is leading us in the future. Candidates review these profiles as they discern whether a particular congregation may be a good fit for their gifts, experience, and calling.
The profile typically includes information such as:
• The congregation’s history and identity
• Worship life and ministry priorities
• Community demographics and outreach efforts
• Youth, family, and adult faith formation programs
• Staffing and leadership structure
• Strengths, hopes, and goals for the future
• The qualities and gifts the congregation is seeking in a pastor
This public reading offers an opportunity for the congregation to hear the completed profile together and better understand how Bethany is being presented to prospective candidates. It is also a chance to reflect on the shared ministry, values, and vision that shape our life together as a congregation.
All are welcome to attend.
