As we come to the close of Pastor John’s time with us as Bridge Pastor, we offer our heartfelt thanks for the gifts he has shared with our congregation over the past three months.
Pastor John stepped into our community during a tender season, a time when we were saying goodbye to a beloved pastor who had shepherded this congregation for over a decade. With warmth, kindness, and equanimity, Pastor John provided steady leadership, helping us navigate this transition with grace.
His uplifting and meaningful sermons reminded us of God’s abiding presence and love, and his thoughtful pastoral care offered comfort and encouragement to many. Behind the scenes, Pastor John provided strong administrative guidance, supporting our church staff and ensuring the day-to-day ministries of our congregation continued smoothly.
We are grateful for the overall sense of stability and support he brought during this interim time, preparing the way as we now look ahead to welcoming a longer-term interim pastor. Our congregation is also in the process of forming a call committee that will prayerfully lead the search for our next full-time pastor.
