We reflect Christ in message and action.

Guiding Principles
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

Christ is at the center of all we do here at Bethany. Whether we are serving at the food pantry or gathering for worship, we gather because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We welcome and invite everyone.

We hope you find Bethany to be a warm and welcoming congregation when you visit. And if you haven't received an invitation to join us, consider this your official invite! We'd love to have you visit and see what we're all about in person.

We worship God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments.

At Bethany, we promise that every time you come to worship you will be welcome to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion and hear the Word through the Bible and some preaching. You might even get to witness a baptism or two along the way.

We are a community of faith who prays, cares, comforts and encourages.

Need someone to pray for you or walk by your side in tough times? Life isn't always easy, but Bethany promises to be there for you when you need it most.

We joyfully give with generosity and open hearts.

We give of ourselves because Christ first gave to us. Bethany proudly remains one of the top giving congregations in our synod. We support local and global causes through the ELCA and we hope our giving spirit is a joyous inspiration for all!

We grow and share our faith through teaching and learning God’s Word.

Learning is a lifelong goal of Bethany members.  Whether you are 9 or 90 years old, you have something to learn, and something to teach. Join us for one of our many educational opportunities available to youth and adults of all ages!

We faithfully serve our wider community and world.

Bethany is a congregation of action. We don't just say we are going to help out - we go out and do it!  Sometimes it means volunteering with PADS (our homeless ministry), and at other times it means advocating on behalf of those in need.  There are many ways to get involved. Find yours!

Our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles were adopted by the congregation in January of 2015.  The process of creating these principles began with congregational town hall meetings, which we called "Fanning the Flames." These meetings were led by our interim pastor Dr. Reverend Len Hoffmann and a faithful group of volunteers who helped organize these events. Guided by the Holy Spirit, our Mission and Guiding Principles help keep Bethany centered on Christ and sent out into the world.
